Keep in mind, however, that if you give me a quotation (e.g., from one of Paul's letters), which you interpret to mean, "All you need is in the scriptures," I shall point out that the letter itself was not in the Bible at the time Paul wrote it. So then, if you believe what you think Paul meant, you do not need his letter, and so you exclude it from scriptures. It is logically impossible for scripture to contain the doctrine you wish to impute to it.
