Why doesn't the Bible mention the Trinity clearly?

Reread the Epiphany passages of the Gospels: Jesus, dove, God the Father: "This is my beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased." Can't get much clearer than that.
Dad gum it. I read it three times and didn't see Trinity mentioned.
One can read that as the Arians did.
