Dear Cicero,

You are quite a learned and intelligent man -- as your name indicates.

The Episcopal Church of the USA has indeed forced out all who believe in the Gospel of Jesus as taught for nearly 2,000 years -- until about 1975 when the "gay revolution" occurred.

Now we traditional Episcopalians are seeking refuge with like-minded bishops.

I am not surprised your priest friend was thrown out of ECUSA for refusing to preach about gays -- they won't even ordain priests these days unless they pledge that they believe being gay is great.

Please know that you are welcome at our church -- as are all. We are all sinners in need of God's help. We cannot pretend otherwise.

Thanks. I'm a Catholic now, but I was raised Episcopalian and was a High Anglican, I guess you'd say, until I converted in college. But I owe a great deal to my Episcopal upbringing, and will always be grateful for it. I'm sad to see the troubles ECUSA is going through.
