assuming that the Hindu presence there really was such?

Do you really wish to dispute what is common knowledge as to what happened with the Hindu presence at Fatima? Really?

Quote:
Likewise, the SIC reporter who accompanied the Hindus from Lisbon to Fatima was interviewed in mid-June by a representative of The Fatima Crusader who traveled to Portugal to further investigate the event. The SIC reporter said that Our Lady of Fatima, “means one thing for Catholics, another thing for the Hindus, and even for the Moslems has another importance, does it not? For the Moslems, she is the daughter of the prophet; for the Catholic, we mean the Mother of Jesus Christ; for the Hindus, she is the most important of the goddesses, the Most Holy Mother goddess, as they call her, the Holy Mother Creator.” Thus, Guerra might say that the Hindus did not specifically tell him that they equated Our Blessed Mother with one of their false gods. But the Hindus clearly told the SIC reporter of this equation, as is evident from the young Hindu women in the broadcast, and from the reporter who would have received his information from the Hindus themselves. This is why SIC reported that the day the Hindus went to Fatima “was dedicated to the greatest of all female deities. She is called the Most Holy Mother, the goddess Devi, the deity of Nature who many Portuguese Hindus also find in Fatima.” unquote

Read more on the travesty of the desecration of this shrine which was founded in respect and recognition of our Blessed Mother at Fatima.
By the way, have you heard Bishop Fellay is meeting with His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI a week from Monday? Evidently our new Pope believes it important to meet with the head of the SSPX notwithstanding the protestations of many in the novus ordo establishment who have run things for forty some years.

I'm aware of what happened at Fatima.

I'm simply unsure that God and His Blessed Mother are as a)offended and b)threatened by the Hindu presence as some seem to be.

As I mentioned in my previous post, God looks at hearts and I'm far from convinced that the hearts of some of these pagans are further from Him than those of the self-righteous. That's why I'm not at all certain that anything has been desecrated and hence, am unsure of the need for a pilgrimmage of reparation.

The tone of the article is one of "let's get rid of the smell of those horrible Hindus".

You guys are really walking on shaky ground.

Yes-and after the cat got out of the bag and JPII "The Great" tried to blame the Bishop over at Fatima for the desecration, the Bishop said the Vatican and JPII had "full knowledge" of the Hindu worship (after all JPII did get cow dung and "shiva"put on his head by a Hindu) and he let the cat out of the bag and the so called Fatima Pope was really in cohoots with its desecration
