I am a computer engineer, and on a thread about confession I expect some basic understanding of what confession means, not Protestant sloganeering, of which we have no shortage.

I was just joking about your being a lawyer. On all threads on matters of faith, one looks for the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking through His servants. His voice is easy to hear. As Galations 5:22-23 says,

...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith...meekness, temperance...

When someone jumps up with a response that shows characteristics other than those gifts, it is apparent that the motive is not that of the Holy Spirit but of the human poster (whether Protestant, Catholic or Messianic Jew).
