Goddess Rosary
Joining scholars like Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza and Letty Russell and a growing number of feminist theologians in reconceptualizing the canon and biblical authority ... connect with the Holy Other in holy writings and sacred rites.
The banner on the outside of Ebenezer Lutheran Church boldly proclaims Goddess Rosary Every Wednesday 7 p.m. Doubtless this precipitates questions in the minds of passers-by: a rosary at a Lutheran church? A feminist take on a ritual indigenous to a denomination with an especially strong patriarchal foundation? I was eager to experience this new phenomenon, and it was with open mind and heart that I entered Ebenezer on my first Wednesday evening in the City. Thought the church was empty, I felt that I had stepped into a Presence, like a mothers warm embrace....
From the basket of rosaries, I took into my hand a strand of vibrantly-colored beads with a silver goddess icon in place of the traditional cross. The goddesses came in a variety of shapes and sizes, celebrating the beauty of the feminine form; I found reflections of my own figure in the full hips and Rubenesque curves of my goddess. Once gathered, we began to recite together the Our Mother and Hail Goddess prayers. At first, it was awkward as we broke the silence together, yet as our lips became accustomed to the shape and rhythm of the words, a lyrical and rhythmic unison chant emerged. I felt my own voice fortified, made fuller by the others. As we made our way around the rosary, the words flowed easily, and the text itself receded into the background, becoming a gently murmuring accompaniment to our silent prayers and meditations....

Despite the tidal wave of filth, we were promised that 'prayers availeth much'. Sometimes, I find it difficult to be mindful of that promise and get mired down in the dregs and this article doesn't help at all.

. . . oh the cuckoo is a pretty bird
and she sings as she flies
She brings us glad tidings
and she tells us no lies
She sips all sweet flowers
for to keep her voice clear
And she never says cuckoo
til summer draws near.

"Exposed meat attracts the flies." (Arabic saying)
Everything I want or need to know of Feminine Theology was given to me by Our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary. She and the Church are my Spiritual Mother.
All other goddess heresy is a waste of time and not even entertaining enough for comedy. However, the more goddess heretics are exposed, the more laughable they become. I'm reminded of the song by the Presidents of the United States, "Naked and Famous" where the chorus sarcastically sings, "Everybody wants to be naked and famous, everybody wants to be just like me, I'm naked, and famous."
Our Blessed Mother doesn't mock herself or Our Creator with shameless expositions. Muslim cultures respect this. An Arabic saying states, "Exposed meat attracts the flies." Thus, women cover what excites men to sin. Muslim women don't do this to degrade themselves as slaves, but to keep them from become slave masters over weak men. This is a stark contrast to counterculture liberalism as exemplified by current Western Culture pop divas whose skimpy outfits degraded femininity and enslave male sexuality.
Out of respect for mens' fleshly weakness, the Catholic tradition of representing The Virgin Mary is with her traditional dress and reverence for sexuality. Those spreading the errors of goddess heresy don't defend against the weakness of human sexuality and or protect the fragility of human reproduction. Their irreverent display serves only as a means to sinful hedonism and enslavement to mortal desires and death of body and soul. Their "goddess" rebellion is a defiant rejection of the Image of God and Truth of our existence. The fruit of their actions is apostasy, abortion, lust, and perversion (homosexuality). It is a shadow that does not create.

What I don't understand is, why do they go for a 'goddess" who does not exist, and they KNOW this because they KNOW they're making it up as they go along?
How can you worship something/somebody who is so obviously a product of your own imagination, drives, wishes, appetites, and/or delusions?
I suppose the next step will be actual visions and revelations from spiritual entities, like the ones who manifested themselves to Mohammad, or to the false worshipers of "Tashlan" in the Chronicles of Narnia.
It's weird how this stuff is coming true. Tash! Tash! The inexorable!

There was a time, not so long ago, when the Church burned heretics at the stake. And the funny thing is that many if not most of those burned were killed for preaching doctrine that probably wouldn't be considered heretical by even the most devout today, and even if it was, we can see how they believed themselves to be devout.
Garbage like this is just made up, it is not derived from any traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs, nor is it even really consistent with polytheistic paganism. This is self-serving secular humanism at it's finest. This is done for one reason and one reason only, to mock and eventually destroy Christianity.
"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves.
By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
So by their fruits you will know them.
Matthew 7:15-20
This basically sums up everything I need to know about these heretics and the "fruit" they speak of.

The closer we get to August the more anxious I become. I visited a LCMS congregation again this weekend. It's amazing how quickly the traditional wording of the liturgy, hymns, and prayers jump to the lips.
Speaking of links, a while ago you posted some links to groups within the ELCA that support each other in remaining true to the Gospel. Do you still have them?
