Reminds me of a graduation I was at a few years back at a very prominent college which had been founded as a Baptist Seminary (in fact, when I was in college we stayed away from the place because it was populated with Baptist ministyer's daughters!). The "school minister", a woman naturally whom we have since come to call the "pixie pagan", all decked out in a Roman collar and stole, commenced her benediction by recalling "the words of a 1st century sage speaking to the multicultural peoples of Corinth..." and proceeded to quote from 1 Corinthians. She's still a jerk!
