There is a billboard just outside of the 610 Loop on 45 South in Houston for Joel's 'church', formerly the Summit/Compaq Center, former home of the Houston Rockets. The billboard states that they will have their Grand Opening on July 16-17 in their 17,000 seat facility. M'kay.

I guess I may be something of an atypical evangelical in that I'm not really interested in what's "the largest church in America" and what isn't, or viewing pastors of such churches as "Protestant popes".
