According to this report from the Anglican Journal, there has been a vote taken to add the Primates of the Anglican Communion to the Anglican Consultative Council as ex officio members:
The Anglican Consultative Council on June 22 approved a major change to its structure, voting to allow the 38 primates (national bishops) of the Anglican Communion to join the international group. After thinking about this, I believe this is an excellent step to take. In view of the closeness of the vote taken today on the suspension of ECUSA and the Anglican Church of Canada (30-28), it seems to me that this step (adding the Primates) will likely give the ACC a more orthodox makeup and further unify the instruments of unity in the Anglican Communion.
Meeting at the University of Nottingham from June 18-29, the council with this vote increased its membership to about 115 from the current 78.
Earlier, the council had agreed to add the five-member primates standing committee to its ten-member standing committee, groups that meet between gatherings of the full membership. Archbishop Peter Akinola, primate of Nigeria and a member of the council, supported the measure, saying that there has been an amount of suspicion and mistrust and that we believe with this arrangement, all that will be removed. He said the effectiveness of the council would be enhanced.
