The Wealthiest Parish's Patronal

The wealthiest parish in the Episcopal Church, Trinity Wall Street, chose to celebrate its patronal feast day, Trinity Sunday, May 22, with a "Clown Mass." All in the name of being a fool for Christ.

Somehow, I don't think this is what Saint Paul had in mind. "Who's fool are you?" The rector said.

According to the bulletin, the Nicene Creed was not said, or the Confession. And the kicker, of course - Open Communion.

In the Holy Communion we experience the Real Presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and all adults and children who desire to receive Him are encouraged to come forward.

Somebody present this fool - quick!!!

Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder Arlin Adams.

FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this moderately high-volume ping list (typically 3-7 pings/day).
This list is pinged by sionnsar and newheart.

Anyone see the Passion of Christ? Remember that single tear at the end of the move? That comes to mind at this moment.
