We used to have a lot of conspiracy threads. The first time I saw the term "tin-foil alert" was on FR. We had a guy Michael Rivero who specialized in conspiracies. Others posted religious, historical, and sci-fi stories which seemed well documented at first glance.

They were mostly welcomed in the old days and somewhat entertaining. I know that eventually many were debunked by better posters. Don't know if the owner got rid of some or not.
