A foreshadowing, a counterfeit foreshadowing...maybe, if you want to stretch it, but NOT simply a "counterfeit". That's a total misuse and abasement of the word.
The whole mother of a redemptive and risen Savior god, predates Jesus by close to a millenia; if not longer. Does that make the other stories true? Not of one is a Christian, it doesn't. But to try to make everything which parrelles Christ into something it isn't, is not right and intellectually vacuous. If one is a true Christian, there should be NO need to have to make something up, in order to make one's religion appear to be "better"/ more true/ more REAL than the others.
You're very short-sighted. The gospel of Jesus Christ ALREADY WAS in existence before the written Word, because it was given to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, and passed down to all, so that Nimrod (and satan) would have known it clearly. So satan, to deceive future generations, created his couterfeit from the already-existing gospel. Looks like he's still at work, and still succeeding in deceiving.
