Excellent!
The people who attack the Catholic Church never take the time to think deeply enough about why the Catholic Church is under attack.
The answer is simple.
Of course Satan is going to try to interfere with the largest Christian denomination in the world!

The Church has survived corruption by groups such as the Freemasons and other cults.
The Church will always belong to Jesus Christ.
It is through persecution that we gain our strength.
The Catholic Church is a clear example of this.

I'd like to post a response to some articles I've seen on FreeRepublic.

Since you just joined up yesterday, welcome, please feel free to contribute to the discussions as they occur.

I have seen very few articles or comments posted that seriously hold the positions that prompted your 'response'.

Welcome to Free Republic. I would like to thank Poland for giving the world such a holy man and faithful servant of God. You delivered to us a saint. Your homeland has my prayers.

Axure, if only you were here to hear our media prattle on about women's ordination, married priests, and homosexual unions. It is a never-ending litany of the same questions over and over again, revealing nothing but their total lack of understanding of the Church.

John Paul the Great settled the matter of women's ordination in 1994 in his apostolic letter Sacerdotalis Ordinatio. It is readily available on the Internet for those that would like to read the whole thing, but the final paragraph is the most important.

Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church's divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren (cf. 22:32) I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church's faithful. Invoking an abundance of divine assistance upon you, venerable Brothers, and upon all the faithful, I impart my Apostolic Blessing. From the Vatican, on 22 May, the Solemnity of Pentecost, in the year 1994, the sixteenth of my Pontificate.

For those of you who want women priests, married clergy, and homosexual unions, but long for the window trappings of a ritualistic liturgy, end the charade and admit that you are not Catholic. You are really Episcopalian.
