I agree that a priest should not administer communion to those publicaly known to be in a state of mortal sin. I also agree that one should not recieve communion in such a state.
It troubles me that on several occasions our pastor does not say "The Body of Christ" to me when he administers communion and yet I have heard him say it to others. I am not in a state of mortal sin; nor does he have any reason to believe so. Why would he refrain from saying "The Body of Christ"?
