All I am saying is stuff like this should be approached with caution... What is the ultimate result of these signs? Is it bringing people closer to Christ, or is it creating a spectacle unto itself?
>>Is it bringing people closer to Christ, or is it creating a spectacle unto itself?<<
That is the question.
We in the church are not required to believe in any apparition or miracle even if it is ruled to be supernatural.
When that miracle becomes a cult unto itself and money is made hand over fist for the promoters of it, I feel it is evil. When one is drawn closer to Our Lord by the realization of it, that is good.
I agree, it is best to proceed with extreme caution. Sometimes people can become miracle and apparition chasers, and lose sight of what we know to be true.
I heard Fr. Groeschel say once, "You want to hear God speak to you? READ THE BIBLE. You want to see a miracle? GO TO MASS!" :-D
