Prayed for the Iraqi people at Mass this morning.

I also, and don't flame me, prayed for their enemies and ours by name.

We are commanded to pray for our enemies. God's blessings are in ways we cannot comprehend. I just leave it to Him. Standing in the path of the Almighty as he blesses the enemy might be a bit like walking in the face of a class 5

You are correct. We should pray for our enemies, as well. I wish our enemies would see the light, and stop being our enemies.

It's a shame that young suicide bombers naively kill themselves, while the terrorists who told them to do it, grow old. They are taught to hate in school, and I wish we had the leverage to get them to use textbooks that don't teach hate.

Also, the prayers from the U.S.A., and around the world, helped. The elections were a tremendous success.
