My point, though, was that Islam views itself as replacing Christianity in much the same way that Christianity views itself as replacing Judaism Christianity did not replace Judaism. Early Christians did not reject Judaism.

Christianity did not replace Judaism. Early Christians did not reject Judaism. Trinitarian christians most certainly reject Judaism. You seem to assume and equate early Jewish "belief" to that of today's trinitarians.
