As much as I enjoy the political and cultural harpings by Steyn, as a Christian who believes that the Bible prophecy set in dispensationalism is biblical I found that I'm not amused by his use of the rapture analogy. What do you think?

Well, you must admit with all the pre-tribbers (esp. the bad hair dudes on TV) running around "predicting" Jesus's soon return, it gets a bit tiring after a while, especially to an outsider.

Then layer on top of that all the bad fiction (e.g., Left Behind series) being put out by Christian authors and the criticisms become understandable.

NO one is to know the return of Jesus but we are to be ready and be able to look at the world and see some of prophecy un-fold..

To me The "Passion of the Christ" open the flood gates to the entire world that GOD is real his message is real and the world has a choice to accept or reject....

Hey, I like the Left Behind Series. I've read them all so far. My son, who has wandered a bit from Christ, loved them too. He's thinking more about the end times and his salvation. So is his wife. I couldn't be happier. I found five books of the children's series in a bookcase at church and my granddaughter's been reading them. ANYTHING to get them to think about their own place in Christ.
