Thanks for the ping!
Your charity
as well as your breadth and depth of
understanding of
the topic
and
of the people interested in the topic
. . .
your depth and breadth of understanding of the topic and of the people appear to be miniscule--probably microscopic.
Whereas your biases appear as big, cold and rigid as the iceberg that's as big as Rhode Island.
Shall we just chalk this one up to your poor reading skills? Those sites do not say that the prophecy is quoted in the Catholic Encyclopedia of 1911. The only thing recorded in the Encyclopedia is the basic information about St. Nilus. That basic info was copied on these sites. There is no mention of the prophecy.
Go back and read the original in the Catholic Encyclopedia for yourself. You can find it here.
The prophecy still appears to be a fake since no original reference can be found.
Do you know what hearsay evidence is?
Almost everybody has a friend whose brother-in-law works with a guy that thinks he saw Bigfoot.
You're grasping at staws. You want it to be true so badly, don't you?
Bookmark
Yawn!
What is your proof concerning the Speculative fabrication concerning the end times?
Not grasping at straws at all.
Your perspective just won't allow you to see otherwise.
It's clear the prophecy is a genuine one. There's sufficient refs to it's historicity for one.
But I don't think any amount of any quality of evidence would sway you.
You are sooooo sweet.
bye.
- Jesus returning in 1988 based on speculation about the modern state of Israel.
- The ongoing speculative redefinition of the phrase "this generation" as used in Matthew 24.
- The "Common Market" as the speculative "10 nation confederacy" of the so-called "revived Roman empire".
- Speculation about the person of "antichrist". Is he a Jew, a Muslim, a Westerner, or Henry Kissinger? Is he alive now living in Europe, the middle east? Is "he" actually a "she"?
- Speculation about red heifers, Aaron's genes, and pre-fab temples.
- Speculation of the other "major players" in "soon approaching" events. This seems to change every time the UN puts out a new list of member states. (E.g., The Soviet Union, Libya, Saddam Hussein and the rise of "Babylon".)
- The "sounds like" theology that turns biblical Gog and Magog into modern places with modern names.
- Speculation on the "mark of the beast" being everything from VISA cards to tatoos to chip implants. (Check out the 666 Calculator found here)
- Uncritical Christian Zionist support for the modern state of Israel based on speculation about the place of Israel in prophecy.
- All twelve volumes of the Left Behind series.
The scenarios that gets one from point A to point B in all these cases are clearly fabricated.
I could go on, but I think you get the point.
Sounds like your biases are well padded, alright!
LOL.
Bye.
Simply because every generation since the Bible has had their "evidence" to "prove" the so-called prophecies that I don't buy this new round of "proof".
For example: there are thousands who now interpret Armaggedon as a nuclear holocaust. So what was Armaggedon interpreted as BEFORE we had nuclear weapons?
All of these items are vague enough and can't be taken literally. It's also based on translations done centuries ago by men with agendas.
You worry about your soul and leave mine out of it...if there is such a thing. And you can drop your smug preaching, it's unbecoming.
Your biases clearly blind you to the amazing specificity that is there in 2,000+ year old documents . . .
as well as blind you to
a very long list of their amazing fulfillments already in our era as NEVER BEFORE IN RECORDED HISTORY.
Yes, a false prophet is always vague and makes sure he has several outs. Blaming others is good too.
I rebuke the label and allegation in the Name of Jesus The Christ.
You would do well to get your facts much straighter and more accurate before making such allegations.
You would also do well to disconnect your biases from the consideration and abide strictly by Scripture and Holy Spirit.
But I'm not expecting that of you in this life. Your ruts seem to be cut incredibly deep.
I do. You're the one who demeans the Word of God and calls our reverance of Him as the Last Word in prophecy, idol worship. Or has that little bon mot fled from your cranium too?
It's not your reverence for God Almighty, His Spirit or The Living Word that I decry.
It's the pharisaical religious spirit born addiction to particular humanly flawed constructions on the ink on pages
and
the WORSHIP OF THAT
which I find unBiblical; unholy and exceedingly dismaying and offensive to God and man.
I think this is a good point. Jesus is the end of biblical prophecy. The book of revelation of Jesus Christ is a wrap-up. Everything since the Resurrection is endtime.
This comment alone reveals your abject lack of understanding, Quix. You are not a prophet of the Lord's, you make that very clear in the serious remarks that you cannot refrain yourself from making.
