I read" More than a Carpenter, by McDowell, it appears his work was gotten from work called "Tryal of the Witnesses of the Resurrection" written in the 18th century, and suitably refuted by great philosopher David Hume. It also looks like modern christians are feeling increasing pressure from "science" to "prove" their religion.

It's okay to be Christian; just don't put any pretensions of rationality behind your faith.

Ask God to make Himself real to you in terms you can wrap your mind around.

Our faith is not blind. But at some point, it must be faith--i.e. having some element of 'unproven in typically demanded tangible ways.'

God is well able to meet us where we are. But He will not be demanded of in any kind of arrogant way. He insists to a large degree that we meet Him on HIS terms.

He's not our puppet, vallet or vending machine.

He wants a dialogue and intimate relationship with each of us. But He knows that He cannot and must not compromise certain things--for our sake.

For instance, in 1:2 it says the Spirit of God hovered over the waters, yet these waters are not created yet.

I would say the fact they are Muslim and Jesus appeared before them.

Jesus knows, in order to save Muslim souls he must perform miracles for them to believe, and then it will be difficult.
