I enjoy image analysis. I've downlaoded some stuff from the Lunar Images page, back side of the moon, taken by Clementine and Apollo 11 when they did a fly-by.
Very strange stuff up there.
Also some of the images from Armstrong's mission show some interesting anomalies.

OK here is the first image I worked with.
The image is from Apollo 11, when it did orbits around the moon. This image is from the DARKSIDE of the moon.
The bottom image is a blow-up of one section of the large image. Remember, most darker areas are shadows, or vertical faces.Light is from the top of the image.
Direct your attention to the upper left of center of the close-up.
Curious, yes?
These images have been greatly reduced in size.
Best way to view them is away from the monitor, about three feet, don't try to force it, let the contours develop on their own.

Take the larger image and save it. The original size on my harddrive is 12.5 wide x 14.5 high. Re-size the image using PhotoShop, or PictureIt. Lock that size, and try different resolutions. The file size as uploaded is 190kb.

THANKS MUCH. VERY, VERY FASCINATING.
Have long believed there was stuff on the dark side.
I think Clark's movie 2001 was more than fiction. I think it was ET fiction added to Clark's fiction. But with some bits of truth here and there.

Reading along here. What am I supposed to be seeing in that pic?? I'm getting cross-eyed from staring!

i STILL think that a LOT of the moon and Mars pic stuff is in the eye of the beholder.
But not ALL of it. We shall see eventually. For me, so far, it's one of those very fascinating puzzle pieces which kind of hint in certain directions but are not anything one would want to build a skyscraper on.
imho.

Well, it's hard to explain, and open to interpretation.
What I see, is an object that is out of place, because it's smooth and round, and appears to be sitting in a crevice. This object appears to be of the same general shape as a space capsule. (Yes, I said space capsule, i.e Gemini/Mercury)I have no idea how big this thing is, because there are no KNOWN objects to give me a relational comparison. If we could take this object and set it in an area with other objects we knew the size of, i.e. if I had a tractor-trailer next to a car, and viewed them both from 20,00 feet, I would know how big they were, becuse I already knew how big they were.
I also see what appears to be different levels of flat areas, and vertical faces.
The scale,(i.e., the realationship of the size of one object, compared to another object) is hard to to determine.
I have a satellite image of South America, taken about 4 hours 45 minutes prior to a plane crash in Andoas, Peru, showing cloud formations and mountainous terrain.(http://www.osei.noaa.gov/Events/Unique/Other/2001/PCRsamE126.gif)
I also have similar images of urban areas. Nature does not create repetitive patterns or true 90 degree angles. She doesn't like straight lines, or smooth continuous radii, or circles.
Smooth, continuous features, are usually artificial, i.e. built by someone,(or something) as opposed to ocurring naturally.
Another problem with images like this, is, because you're looking at a a flat 2-dimensional image, the 3-dimensional aspect has to be created in your mind.
You literally have to create the changes in elevation.
Light and shadow can play tricks, or they can be your best tool.
There is one other roadblock. The pre-concieved notion that there cannot be anything there.
Directly in the center of the close-up image, is a feature that appears to be smooth, straight, and ends with a vertical corner. It is box-like in appearence.
Directly under this is a bright spot, that has all the features of a dead-end canyon.
I have no clue as to the height of the walls, but I would say 300 to 500 feet tall. (thats just a guess)
The Washington Monument is 600 feet tall? Yes?
Best advice I can give, step back from the monitor. This is how archeologists use areial photos to find the remains of ancient cities. Its how intel analysts find missle sites using sattelite recon photos.
You can also use the "edge-define" tool in PhotoShop.
