One century (maybe the fifteenth or sixteenth?) had not a single Pope canonized. I follow the Holy Father as the head of my Church, but don't hold him to divine (or saintly) standards.

In 1999, he gave communion to several Lutheran bishops who were his guests during a mass in the pope's private chapel in the Vatican. (London Tablet)
Although I don't have the date he also gave communion to Tony Blair,whose wife is a pro-abort catholic.
