How can the acceptance of preaching of authentic Catholic faith by sspx be considered mortal sin?

Piers, would you say that the excerpt from the ess ess pee ex website at post 15 regarding the Novus Ordo Mass is truthful, and/or authentic Catholic faith?

I do not agree with that, thanks for post. I go to NO every Sunday.

If they spend any significant amount of time on that, it is waste and not helpful. People need to hear the Faith. Because they have resorted to an unauthorized consecration, they will some 'splaining to do as Ricky Ricardo might say, obviously some reasons need to be offered, but that should never constitute a sermon. Indult does not in general do away for need for sspx but does mitigate it and in a rare diocese (?Rockford) may eliminate it. I don't throw stones on properly celebrated NO.

Obviously I don't know what is said at SSPX masses; I take many FReepers at their word there is no pope and NO bashing and they have good pious sermons. I heard one or 2 sspx priests say mass in mid-late 1980s; one was a beautiful Christmas sermon on the poverty of our Lord in the nativity. In neither was pope or NO mentioned. Both very positive, IMHO.
