I thought that Islam pretty much wiped out Zoroastrianism --- how many people still follow this? I read somewhere on FR that the 3 magis were Zoroastrians --- I thought that was pretty interesting.

Adherents.com estimates a few hundred thousand worldwide. Used to work with a Zoroastrian of Persian ancestry, from Pakistan. Not that I agree with their theology, but ethically, Zoroastrianism sure seems to beat the "religion of peace" that did nearly wipe them out.
