McCarrick has been accused of his own ... misdeeds. The New York media elites know the history of it, and IMO used it to blackmail the USCCB into silence on the homosexuality issue going into that first crisis meeting after the cardinals met with the Pope. The media buried the story on McCarrick, and the USCCB buried the story that the crisis was really about homosexuality.

If the New York media elites know about it (and I have firsthand knowledge that they do), then Kerry's campaign knows about it. You can be sure that if McCarrick tries to push Kerry too hard, Kerry will play this trump card. The foreordained results of this meeting should be obvious to all, long before the lenses start clicking at this whitewash photo op meeting.

Horribly curious to know what you know, but I know that you cannot let us know. I am really upset that these bishops don't have the spines to be the leaders they are called to be. Do they realize why the color Cardinals wear is red? Do they realize what they are called to be willing to do? Sadly, I think not (George, Rigali excluded).
