No, we do not know his culpability with any certainty...However, we can and must make rational judgements regarding his words and actions and from this, we can determine that he has, at least objectively, rejected the Catholic faith and any moral principles dealing with the sanctity of human life.

He and others have put themsleves in grave spiritual danger, objectively speaking. They are in need of much prayer.

We know that Kerry is extremely culpable. What is uncertain is whether or not his culpability will earn him eternal damnation.

You are a better Catholic than I if you choose to pray for him. I myself choose to pray for those (myself included) who strive for goodness but sometimes fall short.
