***drstevej, your comment "a false statement" was wrong. ***
Horse puckey.
See, I can't just say "I was wrong; you weren't wrong" because there's more to it than that, it's based on how "a false statement" was, and could be inferred. It was made standalone, without substantiation and identification where you knew a mistake existed; it implied that AF is a liar. That's what's "wrong" with your comment... as in, wrong and right, li'l devil on one shoulder, li'l angel on the other, each whispering to you.
Does a Calvinist picture that? :-p If I have offended you, then I made a mistake; I was wrong, and I apologize.

That was not my intent. I have great respect for Aquinas Fan

No offense taken.

Thank you drstevej... an excellent post for me to read as the day nears its end.

You either accept this Bible or reject it. Which is it? No Bible translation is perfect. The phrase "highly favored daughter" is a poor translation. "Full of grace" is better. It's something like "perfected in grace."
Still, it's best to use the Bible with all 73 books, not Luther's abridged version.

Actually, drstevej is right. Strictly speaking, Calvinism isn't a denomination, but usually refers to people who share his position regarding predestination.
So various Protestant denominations fall into either the Calvinist or Arminian camps. That's my understanding anyway.

Until the Moderators decide to delete them. (Which, sadly, has happened to some of Lady in Blue’s original saint threads.) I just try to find her original title and repost it, but I’m not always successful.
