Nobody is going to change their minds here IMO. It has seemed to me no one really listening to each other and lot's of zinging (from me too) going on in God's name by Christians. I have a lot going on in my life right now and have been kind of down. I have missed seeing the funny side of life . This kind of helped put things in perspective this morning for me though .I was reading this and started laughing. Sometimes I'm with the majority sometimes I'm not. If it's old to yall I apologize but enjoy the repeat

There were 4 very spiritual pastors who had a series of theological arguments on deciding just what the will of God was. 3 were always against the 4th. One day, after the usual "3 to 1, majority rules" statement that signified that he had lost again, the odd pastor out decided to appeal to a higher authority.

"Oh, God!" he cried. "I know in my heart that I am right and they are wrong! Please give me a sign to prove it to them!"

It was a beautiful, sunny day. As soon as the pastor finished his prayer, a storm cloud moved across the sky above the 4. It rumbled once and dissolved. "A sign from God! See, I'm right, I knew it!" But the other 3 disagreed, pointing out that storm clouds form on hot days.

So the pastor prayed again: "Oh, God, I need a bigger sign to show that I am right and they are wrong. So please, God, a bigger sign!" This time 4 storm clouds appeared, rushed toward each other to form 1 big cloud, and a bolt of lightening slammed into a tree on a nearby hill.

"I told you I was right!" cried the pastor, but his friends insisted that nothing had happened that could not be explained by natural causes.

The pastor was getting ready to ask for a very big sign, but just as he said, "Oh God...", the sky turned pitch black, the earth shook, and a deep, booming voice intoned, "HEEEEEEEE'S RIIIIIIGHT!"

The pastor put his hands on his hips, turned to the other 3, and said, "Well?" "So",shrugged 1 of the other pastors, "now it's 3 to 2".

Hey CD, I'm praying that the Spirit grants you a larger portion of His gift of joy.

I enjoyed your joke.

I'll try and see what I can come up with in this department.

CD, ... here's one that I really like ...
A burglar broke into a house one night. He shone his flashlight around, looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place into his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, "Jesus is watching you."

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off and froze. When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, he promised himself a long vacation after his next big score, then clicked the flashlight back on and began searching for more valuables.

Just as he pulled the stereo out so that he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you."

Totally rattled, he shone his flashlight around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot in a tall cage.

"Did you say that"? He hissed at the parrot.

"That was me, all right" squawked the parrot."

The burglar relaxed. "So you think you're a smart bird, huh ? What's your name ?"

"Moses," squawked the parrot.

"Moses," the burglar laughed. "What kind of people would name a parrot Moses?"

The parrot quickly answered, "The same kind of people that would name a Rottweiler Jesus."
