"I got a FREEPMAIL which I may be allowed to post which reasonably called me to task about appearing to speak for all of Charismania.
"

Charismania? Are you sure you want to use that word to describe yourself and your fellows? Do a Google search for the word. You'll quickly discover that it doesn't have a nice definition. You'll also discover several books that propose to cure you of charismania.

There's nothing wrong with the charismatic movement. It's one more splinter group of Christianity. When you combine it with "mania" though, it starts sounding a little wierd.

You might consider another word to use in descriptions of yourself. I certainly would.

You're probably quite right and worthy listening to on that score.

I just think that Charismatics of all people ought to be inclined to demonstrate some amount of significant humility.

mania is as likely a label as a lot of others.

Who was it--the Episcopalian in Seattle who was in on the ground floor . . . said that everyone who was "Filled with The Spirit" ought to be locked up for 6 months first to give them time to integrate it sensibly into their lives and to learn to speak intelligently, wisely about such.

I'm sure Quix meant it as something we charismatics are called by people who don't really like us much--charismaniacs (smile).
