Hear, Hear! About time somebody said it. You can exalt Mary all you want. You can exalt any man all you want, prophet or otherwise. But when you worship them &/or place ANYONE (whatever his/her name) in a place equal to God, you commit Idolatry. Hindus, Buddas, and any and all other gods, are false gods, worship of which is worthy of death & hell-fire.
Good thing we Catholics do not place any man (or Mary for that matter) as an equal to God. Nor do we worship anyone other than God in Trinity.
