At least Rush had the cajones to admit his addiction, and seek help, unlike Beelzebob who snorted his way through 8 years of shame in the oral office.

At least Rush had the cajones to admit his addiction, and seek help, unlike Beelzebob who snorted his way through 8 years of shame in the oral office. He only admitted it after there were front-page stories about it, leads on radio news for days, admissions from law-enforcement that they were investigating the dealers... yep, it takes a Big Man to admit something at that point... after everyone knows the story!
Be honest -- if Rush had admitted this BEFORE everyone knew he was in hot water, your point would be valid. Not now. He's only admitting it because he knows he's been caught, and going into rehab might mitigate possible leagal repercussions because of it.
He didn't admit anything before or after his first TWO attempts at rehab.

(Hi, I'm with the government. We're going to make you like your neighbor.)

Yes. Well said. I knew there had to be a good, if one can call it that, reason. Even now though, the libs are rejoicing. If I had to suffer chronic pain, and those kind of problems are very painful, I don't know that I wouldn't become addicted as well. How does one live with the pain? Maybe there are pain management programs which can help.
Anyway, from my heart, I wish him well.
