Limbaugh is not the political genius his followers see him to be he is a showman Read this and weep, "B-Chan"~~~ Rush is both.
He will be back~~~ and we will be here.
To: B-Chan
...why was it that so many of the good ol boys that called in to Mr. Limbaughs show with their cawmints seemed to be drywall contractors cellphoning from their pickup trucks while driving home to Lewisville? Limbaughs listeners were good people, mind you, but not the deepest thinkers in the world.
The only thing worse than a liberal elitist is a conservative elitist.

Well, I would say that Limbaugh ain't a Buckley, but he's a damn sight better than a B-Chan.
To: Don Corleone
At least Rush had the cajones to admit his addiction, and seek help, unlike Beelzebob who snorted his way through 8 years of shame in the oral office. He only admitted it after there were front-page stories about it, leads on radio news for days, admissions from law-enforcement that they were investigating the dealers... yep, it takes a Big Man to admit something at that point... after everyone knows the story!
Be honest -- if Rush had admitted this BEFORE everyone knew he was in hot water, your point would be valid. Not now. He's only admitting it because he knows he's been caught, and going into rehab might mitigate possible leagal repercussions because of it.
He didn't admit anything before or after his first TWO attempts at rehab.

I've listened to Rush a total of about two hours in my life. I know he is big and all, but some of the posts here make him out to be the end all. Truly a dangerous thing. What would all these people do if Rush turned out to be a pedophile?

Don't tell me. Let me guess. This author thinks NPR is brilliant. Au contraire. I detest NPR.

Rush Limbaugh is a popular entertainer. He used to identify himself as such.
Sadly, some Freeple have made him into something else.
Easier to listen to radio than read books, ain't it?

People are 'hooked' on 'celebs'. People fail to realize that a large percentage of such types are not fit to shovel manure. We have reached the glorious stage where many of the guys on the street are better than most of those reaching the top. Many folks on the street pay their taxes, love their wife and kids, obey the laws, show up to work, love their neighbors, etc. This man is a self-indulged motor mouthed slob. Further, by his addiction to vice he has damaged conservatism immeasureably.

" Limbaugh's listeners were good people, mind you, but not the deepest thinkers in the world. " And considering that you couldn't differentiate when the tongue was firmly planted in cheek and when the thinking got serious, I have to place you among them.
To: B-Chan
LOL, you have a point
Cheers
