Just heard Maxine Waters on KFI 640 say that it is now time for Arnold to "put up or shut up." She then went on to say that the promises he'd made were going to be very hard to keep.
Maxine, you don't get to put up anymore. Just shut up.

Jesse Jackson didn't work.
"Our poor voters can't vote" didn't work.

"Any way to redistrict her out of a career in politics?"Heavens no. What we need to do is to keep handing her the microphone. The more rope that we hand her, the better she hangs herself. She's a walking posterchild for why her fellow Democrats should leave their own Party.
Republicans should buy that woman ad time and invite her to our campaign rallies, all expenses paid, First Class travel for her all of the way!
It's the democrats who want to win nationally who will have to figure out how to shut her up before she sinks their entire Party (and she's not the only such hole in their boat).

People who strive to be mediocre will never understand those people who have attained "seemingly" unattainable goals. The best that the mediocre could hope for is to have their criticism quoted.

Agree. SO many things didn't work. But a motivated PEOPLE electorate worked!
Begala (He worked for Clinton in his administration) on CNN last night at Grey Davis's campaign headquarters after his concession speech was saying a recall was going to be done IMMEDIATELY by Democrats. That they had PLENTY of money, and could EASILY get 850,000 signatures in a State with 35 million people.
I say BRING it on!!
I predict if they do that,.. that you will see a REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED LEGISLATURE IN THE NEXT ELECTION!!

Can anyone believe Nancy P's comments. Something to the effect that it's a sad day in California and a sad day in the US.
The dems are cutting out many people that just voted to improve their state. Millions. And she is ripping them? I think the dem party is going to implode in basis of their hate. They are just a bunch of angry people.

She was justifying it and so was the networks and press who refused to show the whole video tape, which if they did might have made the public understand why the cops weren`t held accountable. Instead they kept referring to Rodney as the "black motorist" like he was Sidney Poitier out for a Sunday drive instead of what he was which was a paroled armed robber driving drunk and high. Nor did they focus on Rodney driving 100 mph away from cops, or throwing off 4 cops who tried to subdue him, or getting tazed twice then patting his bottom and telling a female cop to kiss his a**, then punching cops who tried to subdue him again. The cops rightly suspected he was on PCP not to mention drunk, so what should they have done, tickled him? He`s damn lucky he didn`t get shot, which would have been fine by me considering what he did in future. What was it, only 2 months ago he was arrested yet again for driving under the influence of PCP. And what did this punk get? 3 million? It`s just too bad all these korean stores and Reg Denny didn`t do the right thing, which would be to sue these networks and all the rest of these mutts for inciting a riot which is exactly what they did.

AND WHAT PROMISES HAVE YOU KEPT, MAXINE? The promise to make the schools in your district studies in money wasteage and crappy test scores? How about the promise to see to it that young boys who struggle every day to keep away from gangs STILL GET GUNNED DOWN? How about the promise to make sure the streets are filled with trash, smell like dog doo, and are crawling with drug dealers and homeless addicts? HOW ABOUT THAT, MAXINE? ASS!

Maxine Waters reminds me of that scene in the film "On the Beach" where the submarine crew has been intercepting garbled messages from Seattle which turn out to be caused by the wind blowing a coke bottle back and forth over a telegraph key near a window in a radio shack. Her speech is about as intelligent as the random messages created by the coke bottle blowing in the wind.
