No. Internal polls might be leaked sometime this afternoon. Depending on who does the leaking, we'll have a good idea of what the exit polls say tonight.

It's my understanding that the Voter News Service, a consortium that used to provide the exit data information, was disbanded before the 2002 elections...

Exit polling:
RECALL: No - 57%, Yes - 43%
Bustamante - 33%
Schwarzenegger - 30%
McClintock - 17%
My source is my cousin's best friend's lover's mother-in-law. That's all I can say.

Don't know if this means anything, but Judy Woodruff on CNN had a long face, while reporting about the recall.(appx. 12:30 Pacific Daylight Time).

I got a weird phone call last night. From the Committee of Concerned Women Voters (who are they?). A woman speaking saying that Arnold was a groper and can't be trusted by women ... says that she really wants to vote for McClintock. But, that since he can't win, vote "No" on the recall so that a "real" Republican can win next election. Very bizarre ... any ideas?

Edison Media Research/Mitofsky International has been hired by about a dozen news agencies to conduct exit polls, and the LA Times is conducting one also.

The latinos in my area, look particularly sad today. Maybe coincidence? But true, I have been looking.

POSSIBLE CA EXIT POLLS--LEAKED DATA
Calblog ^ | October 7, 2003 | Armed Prophet
Posted on 10/07/2003 2:47 PM PDT by publius1
Apparently Leaked Exit Polling Says... Armed Prophet here, with what I believe is a major scoop, though it may not be entirely surprising.
That is, I'm hearing that early exit polling -- which includes absentees -- already shows the recall and Arnold both with "double digit" leads. (I'm a bit surprised to hear that those numbers are already being tabulated, but this is what I'm told.) Speculation is the race may be called within a few hours of the polls closing.
I obviously can't vouch for it myself -- I'm in DC -- but the source I'm hearing this from is very well-connected in state and national politics; if anybody would know this kind of thing out here, it's this person. So take this information with a bit of caution. But if I'm right, you heard it here first.
