Davis had no competition other than himself. Arnold had to deal with both Bustamecha and McClintock. You are comparing apples and oranges.

It doesn't really matter, of course. It's just a matter of what kind of line the RATS will spin. If Davis does come out ahead of Arnold, the same Sore Loserman types who still think Bush is illegit, will think something similar about Arnold.

Since it's pretty easy to get a recall started in CA, I wouldn't be surprised if those folks use the recall process for payback, especially if things go to hell and a handbasket in the next budget cycle here in CA.

You may not realize it but Gray and the dems -- with the help of a few repugs -- balanced the current budget basically by making it harder to balance the next budget.
