Official Orange County Poll Report

We just got back from voting to oust Gay Davis.  Here is what I discovered:

Nothing else out of the ordinary appeared to happen.  Things went smoothly just like all other elections.

Now we are on our way to Disneyland to celebrate the Liberation of California!

I had to wait in line in South San Jose. This is the first time I have ever had to wait to vote. The people working said it's been busy all morning.

Definitely a high voter turnout!!!

I live in South Orange County and the R's are on the ball.
I have a different polling place this cycle, and I received a phone call with directions how to get there. It was like they got the directions off of mapquest, from my home to the site.

South Orange County:

Just got a call from my next-door neighbor telling me that he was going to be late to work due to the long lines....not that we was complaining. He talked to a poll worker and said the worker said she was amazed at the line of people wating to get in before the polls even opened. BTW - I have already voted absentee.

It's always hard to tell be the size of the crowd, especially this year with so many other polling places closed. The woman told him that they has 40,000 registered voters for that polling place. Either way, it's good to see a lot of people voting here, since this is not Davis/Bustamante country.
