On *both* CNBC and CNN, the anchor asked the guest talking head questions of the form, "how could someone with Davis's expertise at getting elected lose this badly"?
Gee, I dunno, maybe because it's actually about SUBSTANCE instead of "playing politics"?
The (Dem) talking head on CNBC answered that maybe it's because California was "hit by" a bad economy, an energy crisis, a budget deficit, etc., and Gray Davis's career was "hurt" by that. He tried to make it sound like some sort of natural disaster that rolled into the state from the Pacific. Funny how he didn't mention how much Davis might have *contributed* to those problems, and that's why he's being fired by the voters... Sheesh.
