I heard Mara -- she looks very unhappy and like you said gave the most convulted answer to why this would be bad for Arnold to govern because he wouldn't have a mandate or something to that effect! Mort doesn't look much better and Fred Barnes is on top of the world.
Doesn't take much to figure out how the election is turning out. When Mort talked about Arnold's campaign being skyhigh this morning he looked very unhappy!

I think it's going to be a bad night for the Rats and they won't be able to gin up enough voter fraud crap to throw at the courts to make it stick.
I'll be here at 11:00 EST tonight to listen/watch for results and hopefully will be celebrating from South Carolina.

Mara sounded increasingly apoplectic in the second segment, "What's he gonna do?" if he cuts taxes. Well, Mara, he can let go some of the 40,000+ new government employees Gray hired, especially those positions that are "ghost" jobs with no one actually employed...and maybe just cut back all the social welfare giveaways the state has started up over the last couple years...

What Mara tried to say is that unless AS pulls a number higher than those voting for a recall, he will not have a mandate. She began explaining but Fred Barnes (bless his heart) began to contradict saying when you combine the votes for Arnold and Tom, it may exceed the percentage voting for recall and will be a GOP mandate (paraphrasing as I was caught up in his excitement). Brit cleared it up saying if Arnold pulls a number higher than the recall vote, it will be easier to work with a dem. legislature as he will have a mandate. Apparently Arnold's camp is hoping that is the outcome as well.
