Arnold is a RINO.
By the way, do you disagree with that assesment of him?

By the way, do you disagree with that assesment of him?I think the term RINO has become meaningless. For some of the memebers here, it simply means anyone who doesn't hold the exact same belief that they themselves do. For some people here everyone holding office as a Republican is a RINO. Alan Keyes is there hero.
In my mind, RINO now means someone who votes for a candidate who can actually win.

Arnold is a RINO. That should be obvious by now. I thought it was quite telling in the clip I seen of of him this morning on the news, campaigning yesterday. Some woman had made a sign that said "Democratic Women LOVE Shwarzenegger". She was standing very near to him, and Arnold took and lifted the sign up to gain much applause from the crowd.
At least Arnold isn't alienating his base.

McClintock is at least equally a RINO.
So I guess there's no Republican candidate in this race, to your mindset?

Arnold is a RINO. By the way, do you disagree with that assesment of him?Whatever Arnold is we will find out if and when he becomes Governor. The fact is, no body really knows what kind of Governor he will be with the exception of the psychics.

I believe we should re-define the pejorative "RINO". IMO, a RINO is a registered Republican who is actively working to elect other democrats and is actively promoting the democratic slate in a campaign. For instance, in PA we have Barbara Hafer, who is registered Republican, and she got in a snit cause the PA Republican Party wouldn't promote her for governor, so she endorsed the Democratic candidate for governor (Ed Rendell, and he won) and is currently endorsing the Democrat Ed Onorato for our current Pittsburgh big race of the moment, Allegheny County Commissioner. THAT is a RINO -- NOT Arnold Schwarzenegger, who supports some liberal issues but is working within the Republican party.
