Actually, they never quite said that. I listened carefully. They were being quite clever. Whenever they mentioned who was leading, they said "late polling data", not "exit polling data". But then they went to exit polling data that showed things that were not on the actual questions, but on supporting things (Arnold favorability, Davis favorability, Cruz favorability, etc).

All designed to say it without actually saying it.

My personal opinion is that that ANY election polls should be not be released/broadcast until after ALL the polling places have closed. Although it would NEVER keep me from going to the polls or persuade me to leave a poll or any such thing, some people ARE swayed with such news.

Remember Election 2000 ? The media was projecting winners in the Presidential race BEFORE SOME PARTS OF FLORIDA were closed (heavily GOP areas, military voters, etc.) ??

I would think we'd learn from those things and put the muzzle on stuff like that, but I guess not ...
