Vince Foster may disagree with your assesment.

BTW, she'll never say she's Dictator President for Life, it will just sorta happen.

The election where the Republican (or more likely the Democrat) convention gets suicide bombed will 'temporarily' suspend elections, just until the Vast Right Wing Terrorist Network can be eliminated...

I hope I'm wrong, but I can't help seeing what I see.

You said:

I think she will stretch the limits of her legitimacy and THEN do what she must.

I believe:

She will stretch the limits of her patience and THEN do what she thinks she can get away with.

We'll see, those of us that survive the purge (a set that won't include most FReepers)...

right across from Centerpoint mall.

They're about to have a very interesting campaign next year. The Fifth District Supervisor, John Flynn, is running against Oxnard's mayor and one of its councilmen, both candidates promoted by the Hispanic Old Boy's Network.

Meanwhile, a former Councilman (and fiscal conservative) is running for mayor against a guy who's willing to spend a small fortune to give city employees the day off on Cesar Chavez's birthday, but won't put a penny into adding a fire station on the east of the city to address a huge life-safety issue out there.

Should be an interesting battle to follow in the online Star.

What if he had received 49% of the vote saying NO to recall but Arnold had only received 34% of the vote. Arnold would be governor even though 49% of the people wanted Davis. Davis would not be governor in this scenario because the way the recall law is written he could not have his name on the ballot against Arnold. If Davis had had his name on the ballot along next to Arnolds as an option then it would have been a fair law.
