They're about to have a very interesting campaign next year. The Fifth District Supervisor, John Flynn, is running against Oxnard's mayor and one of its councilmen, both candidates promoted by the Hispanic Old Boy's Network.
Meanwhile, a former Councilman (and fiscal conservative) is running for mayor against a guy who's willing to spend a small fortune to give city employees the day off on Cesar Chavez's birthday, but won't put a penny into adding a fire station on the east of the city to address a huge life-safety issue out there.
Should be an interesting battle to follow in the online Star.
