however, I warned EARLY on that if Arnold doesn't cut spending and taxes, California will still go into default in the next couple of years and the ENTIRE GOP will suffer,

He has said that he would do so. He has surrounded himself with capable advisors. He knows that the main impetus for dumping Dufus was the fiscal mess AND the refusal to cut expenses while increasing taxes. So, what makes you think he will not respond with fiscally conservative policy?

Geeeeee, I dunno, his advisor wanting to overturn Prop 13 maybe???

Or wanting to add a huge tax to Indian casinos???

Time will tell. Still, I'm hopeful - he's gotta be better than Davis...

Two years and one day into her term the first slotter gets arkincided

I still don't see this. Why would she kill the goose that lays the golden egg? He's proven to be an absolute sock puppet. If she keeps him in place, she has an opportunity for 16 years in the Executive Branch instead of 10. Now why would she want to change that?

Prediction : we are about to witness the largest electoral fraud that ever took place in a democracy. Explanation : the last minute stories will be used to justify the "results". But I also think that it is the tacit acceptance of such polls that lays the basis for the coming fraud counting the votes. Davis got no more than 20%.

The above post shows that with some people you just can't win. I have been arguing for some time that fraud exists, but it is in the tens or hundreds of thousands, nationwide, not tens of millions. I predicted two days ago on a thread that the election would go smoothly, the win would be huge, and the predictions of massive fraud would be wrong.

We get a massive win, and there are STILL people, as above, who think that even the pathetic figures for Davis are half fraud. What planet are you living on? There are people who disagree with us, and we have to understand that, contend with it, and beat it. Whining that even when you win big it shows that the other side is frauding is childish.

reality is that Davis was not given a chance to be one of those considered by the electorate. This is not fair.

Just because he got rejected say by 49% doesn't mean he shouldn't have been given a chance to run against the field of other candidates.

What are you smoking?! He was given more than a fair chance by the electorate... he is the incumbent... he ran unopposed in the first part of the ballot... rather than keep his rat butt in office, HE WAS FIRED! Being a candidate to replace himself makes no sense!

Yes.
But it is moot.
And, does not make a plurality in any way unfair.

Arnold publicly disagreed with Buffet's opinion. PS: I do not understand why some capitalists, after having made THEIR fortunes, become so adamant about confiscating the fortune of others.

Or wanting to add a huge tax to Indian casinos??? All citizens should be subject to the equivalent taxation, IMO.

Time will tell. Still, I'm hopeful - he's gotta be better than Davis...

I think we will be witnessing many positive changes.

WHAT?!! He had full consideration by the electorate in question number 1. He was rejected by just a hair under 55% of those who voted - 60% of registered voters. Only 40% of registered voters voted in Nov. 2002, and of those, only 48% voted FOR Grayout Doofus. Arnold got more votes in this election than Doofus got in 2002. I'd say it was more than fair.

Congrats to Arnold. Also, Maria is a doll (even though her politics stink).

Now why would she want to change that?

Greed. She wants it all. She wants to be the President. She wants it NOW.

Under my senario it would be President for life, not just in the shadows for 8 years (8 YEARS!!! that's a LONG time to be soooooo close to what you desire without being able to have it!) and the possibility of not getting elected herself when she's an old chrone.

We're dealing with EVIL, not rational thinking.

I'm serious when I refer to her as the demon possessed one...

Me too.

The ship of state is massive, and may be too close to the shoals to turn in time, but by God, we are going to try!

He certainly was.

They could have voted NO on the recall question.

And why do you keep harping on the recall vote being 51/49? It was not. He was rejected by a huge margin and not your plucked-out-of-thin-air ratio.

I agree regarding her demon nature but not your evaluation of her methods. I see her firmly ensconsed in the White House with a sock puppet for a POTUS. The press will follow her every word and she will be President-in-deed if not fact. See how they faun over her as a JUNIOR Senator!

As gullible as we CAN be, we aren't ready for the title of "dictator for life." However, when she has a few more election cycles to dumb down election fraud... anything can happen.

I think she will stretch the limits of her legitimacy and THEN do what she must.
