I just heard it on FOX News. Orange County says they won't release their vote totals till tomorrow morning at 10, and the dems are screaming about it.

Yes, Gore Cookies sound horrible. "Chad Cookies", on the other hand, are pretty cool ;0)

That's odd. Do you know what voting system they're using?

Sounds like a post-game commercial: "California Voters, you just VOTED to OUST GREY DAVIS, what are you going to do now? We're Going to DISNEYLAND"
To: redlipstick
Never mind...I googled up this nugget:
But in neighboring Orange County, voters were using a new optical-scan voting system for the first time that was expected to delay a full count until Wednesday morning.
You would think it would speed things up, rather than slow it down.

I just heard it on FOX News. Orange County says they won't release their vote totals till tomorrow morning at 10, and the dems are screaming about it. LOL.. .the Dems are screaming because they won't know how many votes to "create" until tomorrow morning - when it's too late!

Money Quote:
Tribes have poured nearly $12 million into the election, according to Common Cause. Of that, $8.2 million has been spent in support of Bustamante. Nearly $3 million went for state Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks.
It's not just a little Indian money Tom took, it's more money than anyone's ever given him.
Tomikazis, your man belongs to the gambling tribes.

No idea. I just checked google news, and they don't have anything. I'll keep listening to FOX, and see if they bring it up again.

High turnout historically helps the challenger does it not?
I watched the lib Larry O'Donnell on Hardball last nite with Fineman and Noonan.....he looked dejected.
If Arnold does not slam dunk this, I'll be shocked.
Arnold is not a perfect choice as we all know but man, just for the next fews days watching libs nationwide cry over this will be so satisfying. I plan to stay up all night for it.
My Green cousin who's the traffic judge in San Fran is absolutely near tears over this. He's voting for Camejo(?)...who is I assume a Marxist.

I'm sooooo glad that I left my red and white "Dump Davis" bumper sticker on my car after last November's election. Whoda thunk that it would still be relevant nearly one year later?

I'll wait for someone else to post an ARNOLD WATCH thread, long about 5:00 PM PDT. *Hint* :-)

The Rats often have one or two heavily Rat counties that hold back their totals till they know how many votes they have to steal or create.
Maybe Orange County is going to make it a little tougher on them to pull that one this time. Just a hopeful guess on my part.

The Orange County move is one Daley Senior would love. He was the Master of holding up the results to see how many votes he needed. JFK owed his Presidency and three years of Oval Office fornicating solely to Richard J. Daley.
To: B Knotts
Darn it. Fox reporting that Orange County was going to use the electronic voting method (optical scanners?) but decided to forego them during this election. In short, they will NOT certify their numbers until tomorrow morning.
