So far most of the pundits are missing what a big deal this is. Some 60% of Californians voted Republican in an election with enormous turnout. Granted there are some extraordinary circumstances here, but you can't deny that that's an earthquake.

I love that everybody's pointing to driver's licences for illegals as a nail in Davis' coffin. That gives a Republican with credibility on the issue a mandate to address it. This issue is going to be huge in 2004, Arnold can help us.

I didn;t actually hear the words myself, I know he came out once and didn't concede, but I then heard a reporter a little later say he would be down again to concede, but then he got overshadowed by arnie coming out for his victory speech.

He must have or he'd never live it down at his meetings with arnie.

According to the reports I heard Couric and others did not want Arnold in the race because they thought he might win so they were trying to save the RAT Davis. First time I heard it was on LA radio and then on the cable news shows.
