I generally agree with you...what do you think of the theory I've read some places, the Dems are going to scream that Bush helped "steal" CA and use that against him, is that dead if a lot of Dems/Independents voted for "moderate" Arnold?

Either Woodruff is out of it via alchol, or the event hasn't registered in her brain, or she is not disatisfied with the outcome of the election. The sense I get listeneing to CNN, MSNBC, etc. is that the claws are coming out. Arnold has his work cut out, and I pray that he succeeds in turning the state around.

I never realized how much the DUmmy site is censored At DU, I got banned for linking to a story debunking their take on the University of Michigan affirmative action case.
The moderator claimed that I had quoted too much from the source, (I only quoted three little paragraphs out of a story containing dozens of paragraphs), but instead of editing my post, I was banned.
Since then, I only visit when Republicans win a big election to enjoy some schaudenfreude.

"Many of the people in line were making comments such as "it's a long wait, but it's worth it to fire the guy".
I smell VICTORY!!"
I had to run an errand and went to get a look at our (Orange County) polling place myself, since my husband had found such a line. It had gotten even longer than what he described!
When the poll workers this a.m. thanked me for voting, I said "It's a great pleasure!" They kind of chuckled. :)

Many of the people in line were making comments such as "it's a long wait, but it's worth it to fire the guy". Says it all. Recall in a nutshell. Thanks for the report from the front lines.

When the poll workers this a.m. thanked me for voting, I said "It's a great pleasure!" They kind of chuckled. :) I made sure I thanked the poll workers for their hard work today... they worked from 6:30am... and from the looks of the line I was in, they'll be there until 9:00... and they got $50 renumeration for their hard work.

"Yeah...I was thinking of calling the wife and telling her NOT to go vote after she leaves work! Everyone knows Arnie already won..."
Please, never, never, never suggest such a thing. Every vote potentially adds towards another percentage point towards the winner (or loser if the case may be).
Florida was called and it's impossible to prove how many just turned away. We are the party of maturity and following through illustrates that oft-quoted Wall Street editorial of a couple days ago (paraphrasing the sentiment) - "Sometimes it's how we deal with failure that defines us as a long-run success or a bitter failure."
Luckily this is a case where success has been achieved.

DON'T FORGET: Call the LA times "news tip line" tomarrow, and practice your best maniacal (read Mr Burns) laugh.
LATIMES: "Thank you for calling the LA Times tip line"
YOU: "I have the most amazing, stunning, jaw dropping, page 1 shocker you're ever, EVER going to hear!!"
LATIMES: "Oh?"
YOU: "Grey Davis lost badly"
LATIMES: " {silence, as the liberals' lower lip begins to quiver) "
YOU: " [ Mr Burns laugh ] "

(I DONATED! HAVE YOU? DONATE NOW OR I'LL HAVE YOU TAKEN OFF THE DO NOT CALL LIST)
Gergen now wondering aloud if the "political system"is becoming unhinged, citing CA (no debates, unknown politician); TX (I assume referring to the DEM tactic of leaving town): and FL (referring to the 2000 close race, and intimating without outright assertion that the votes were not properly counted). The term again, "system is unhinged." Give me a break. The system is working, albeit slowly.
