Tony Snow is on Hannity right now, and says that the early exit polls indicate little movement over the weekend, since the smears. Won't give out hard numbers, but it sounds quite encouraging.

The moderators have the authority to keep DU free from right-wing spin this close to an election. Not to mention anything resembling facts of any kind.

11382 has been reversed. People who don't vote on Q1 (recall) are permitted to vote on Q2 (replacement), and a proper Q2 vote will be counted, even absent a Q1 vote.
The reversal came in a court challenge, and the CA Secretary of State has no plan to appeal the decision.

Democratic Underground does not exist to to provide a platform for our political opponents or their supporters, especially this close to an election. If our members want to listen to Republican spin, they can turn on the television. But they don't expect to see it on this message board. If you support this ridiculous power-grab against the democratically elected Governor of California, then you should do all of us a favor and keep that particular opinion to yourself. Even if you swear that you're going to vote against the recall, we still have no interest in hearing how you "admire" our opponents or how you feel "ashamed" about attacks against them. The moderators have the authority to keep DU free from right-wing spin this close to an election. Translation: "1) No fair confusing us with facts, 2) reasonable people unwelcome, only the rabid need apply."
Incredible.
And far more Nazi-like than those whom they accuse.

I've seen it done but haven't tried to make them myself. It will probably take a lot of trial and error, but speaking as someone who has duplicated the Pizzaria Uno (the real one in Chicago) recipe for deep dish sausage pizza, I can tell you that the experimentation will be a lot of fun. Just be careful of the hot oil. I remember hearing that about half the house fires in Britain are a result of people making home made "chips" in deep frying oil.

Tony Snow saying on Sean's show that exit polls are simaler to last polls over last four days. He would not give numbers though. Talks about a backlash. Take all that for what it's worth. He online right now!!

Forgetting to vote for the recall? Could it make the difference? This may be close. Overseen on FreeRepublic "The only thing I'm a little nervous about is with all the Schwartzenegger buzz, people are forgetting to vote YES on the recall. It's the first question on the first page and since Arnie is on the last page people have the tendency of just going right to the page with his name. Even my husband almost forgot. People have been calling the radio shows saying the same thing. A few cried and said they forgot."
Great point, I hope they all forget, Nothing more I like to see than a bunch of crying Freepers!!!

Thus my suggestion that we give the bickering a rest, for today at least. Prior to the election, there was at least some value in trying to convince others to adopt a particular position in order to try to achieve the best results. Tomorrow we can do the post-mortem and finger-pointing with hard data. Today, nothing is to be gained by back-biting from any side. Let's just sit back with a bowl of popcorn and watch the show, nothing we do will change the results (although of course the California Freepers should *vote* before they relax). As Taggart said to Hedy Lamarr ("that's HEDLEY!"):
"Ditto!"

Shhh... that's our little secret.

A backlash against whom?

The Nazi allusions over there are disgusting. It's not an illusion democraticunderground posters are Nazis and satisfy the requirements to be in the Nazi Party. They are: anti-semitic, are socialists, are for government control of indusry and buisness, are for government control of the media and are for the elimination of religion.

If he was talking about "movement" in the numbers since the smears, wouldn't that be a BAD thing? Not sure I understand what you're getting at..

slow exit polls mean R is winning.

Vote for Cruz and you lose,
vote for Gray and you pay,
vote for Schwarzenegger, there are no words!

On that I have no opinion. What I do have an opinion on is that the polling data shows nothing of note. It could mean something, it could mean nothing.
We'll know before very much longer, won't we?
To: ambrose
I think he's saying that the numbers aren't moving much from the pre-slime numbers, which would presumably be good for Schwarzenegger.
