[history]
The Los Angeles Times and the Democrat corruption machine must be defeated!! No ifs, ands, or buts about it!
This is bigger than Schwarzenegger vs McClintock, bigger than Republican vs Democrat, and even bigger than conservative vs liberal. This is for our American way of life vs the dark side. Not just for California, but for all of America. The leadership of the Democrat Party and their official party platform of corruption, abortion, homosexualism, socialism, slavery to big government, slavery to over-taxation, slavery to terrorism and willing subjugation to foreign powers and world bodies is pure evil. Yes, I'd rather have a more conservative person than Arnold for California, but sorry folks, looks like the numbers aren't there. And I'm unwilling to take chances on allowing Davis to slip out of the recall or, even worse, to allow Bustamante to win the governorship.
Crushing liberalism is what Free Republic is all about. Gray Davis being recalled by the (mostly Democrat) people of California has got to be one of the greatest defeats for liberalism in recent history. And the additional rejection by the same democrat electorate of the ultra-liberal, illegal-alien-loving, tax-them-till-they-die, Cruz Bustamante will be the coup de grâce!
The Democrats are pulling out all the stops on this one. They see losing California as what it is, a death blow for liberalism. The people of California are sending the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Democrat Party, and Bill & Hillary Clinton a great big rejection slip!
No thanks! Your liberalism, socialism, corruption and evil murderous programs are not welcome!
Send them your own personal message and slap in the face and one they cannot misinterpret and will not soon forget.
Terminate Gray Davis! Terminate Cruz Bustamante! And terminate the idiot Democrat Party and their complicit partners in crime, the Los Angeles Times, et al!
Vote Yes on Recall and vote Yes for the Terminator!!

Thanks for the wonderful compliment but we all just followed our hearts and minds in how we approached this critical election. Everyone here who participated as caring Californians and Americans should take a bow for trying to drag our states and country further to the right... Heave HO!
Go Arnold :-)

Jim, I salute you for doing the right thing and urging others to do the same.
You are absolutely right, the Dems will pull every dirty trick, including voter fraud. We must defeat Davis, and elect Arnold with a landslide, to overcome the fraud and forestall any court challanges, which, I read, the Dems have already prepared.
The future of California is indeed at stake. Arnold will save it, Davis will finish its destruction. The state is truly facing bankruptcy.
I also firmly believe that conservatives will be pleasantly surprised about Arnold.
Quoting Haynes:
"I came out of my meeting with [Schwarzenegger] very reassured that indeed, he will be a better conservative than my conservative friends think he will," Republican Assemblyman Ray Haynes told CNSNews.com.
"He (Schwarzenegger) told me to my face in those areas where the governor can actually affect the outcome, 'I will be with the pro-life community. I will be with the pro-gun community. I will be with the social conservatives.'"

You , as many here of late, have made me examine myself as closely as anyone, even as I try and examine others and their motivations and or agendas. I had seen what I felt was waffling on your part and I questioned it and implied some fence straddling was going on.
I don't need to win every point but I may have overamped on folks sometimes , including you, just to see how they react.
What we are fighting for means alot to you and I and to all those who have no voice or standing to argue for what is right and good in our system today, either because they can't and/or are timid and not wanting to be engaged in some pretty intense discourses or don't feel well versed enough to do so.
Testing one's own mettle and others isn't sport for me as it may be for some, but it sure is nice to know who is blowing smoke and who has a real flame burning within and who has your back. ;-)

I have nothing but the utmost respect for you and Jim. The decision you both came too, couldn't have been an easy one.
I just wanted you to know that.
I am hoping for the sake of Californians a lot of other people are standing up to the sleaze balls in office and the liberal media and voting AGAINST THEM.
That's what it really boils down to.
Thanks FRiend. God Bless. Mary Ann

When all the votes are counted, the court challenges over, the liberals will face their worst nightmare. An embolden electorate who have two dead liberals marked below their cockpit, and both Tom McClintock and Arnold Schwarzenegger in Sacramento.
While you were writing your endorsement, I was watching the crowds cheer Arnold on in San Bernardino.. But that wasn't all they were cheering. Democrats who crossed over to join Arnold were cheering on Jim Brulte as well. Watching Jim puff up as he hears crowds cheering him on was a great thing to see, as well as the great change in his personal life (dropping a good hundred pounds.)
Tuesday morning, I'll be at the local Republican headquarters manning the phones. Tuesday evening, I hope to be celebrating the defeat of Gumby.

Well said! That's why the Dems are doing everything to try to hold onto the CA governorship. Today we recapture the CA governorship, in 2004, we get a filibuster proof majority in the US Senate and start electing Republicans to statewide offices in CA. Tomorrow could be the major turning point for us or for the Democrats.

Tom also said a while back, that while he is not withdrawing, his supporters can make up their own minds, how to vote.
The only votes that will crush the Dem machinery are : yes on the recall and Schwarzenegger for Governor.

You got that right!
And it just might TAKE a flame-thrower to chase the super-size RATS out of power ;-)
