From our 'friend' in Iraq tonight:

One of our guys got blown up in a convoy today. He'll live but that won't make news because he's just a contractor...

Would you please say a prayer for his wounded co-worker, and for our friend tonight ~ for healing, and strength, comfort and clarity - and for protection. Thank you.

Prayer Request from a Freeper Serving in Iraq

Repeating post 359 from Ragtime Cowgirl, wherein she reports to us the prayer need of our freeper "friend" in Iraq:

"From our 'friend' in Iraq tonight:

Dear Father God in Heaven,

We place on your altar the consciousness, being and world of our "friend" in Iraq. We call forth perfect healing for his co-worker who was injured in a bombed convoy. We thank you for sparing the life of these men who are working as contractors.

Father, surround each of these and all who are serving with one of our special prayer blankets. Grant them protection, strength, courage, clarity, comfort, healing, and peace. Especially do we call forth the healing of soul and spirit when the ugly realities of war assault the senses and core being of these precious ones who are serving. Father, many of us have never seen war, and by thy grace and their service, we never shall, so we cannot fully understand the devastation to them resulting from what we ask these brothers and sisters to do. Yet while we cannot know fully, we can still appreciate the fruits of their hard-won labor and seek your guidance as to how best to support these servants of Freedom.

Father, surround the families and the loved ones of those who have been injured, and those who are in that twilight zone of not knowing a certain word about their loved one. We continue to remember the families and loved ones of those who have had to be told that their loved ones have fallen. Father, help us also to know how to support these very special families.

We are so very grateful, FAther, for all who serve in our military, for our allies who also serve, and for the families and loved ones who wait. We do beseech you to keep our troops and all contractors serving in support capacities safe and bring them home to us victorious.

Amen
