Please pray for our "Friend" leaving Kuwait for Baghdad. Prayers for protection in his travels, that he be filled with the Holy Spirit - purpose and joy, protected as he does his work in Iraq, and is given discernment to spot his enemies.

Beloved Father of Us All,

We call forth your mercy and protection for and on behalf of "Friend" and SFC Mary M as they pursue their obligations in Iraq. Cover them with one of our prayer blankets composed of soft, impenetrable pink wools of your purest love, pastel lavenders of your mercy, deepest royal blues of your will and protection, brightest golds and yellows of your illumination and wisdom, and the soothing comfort of your healing greens. Father, wrap them and all our beloved troops in these prayer blankets. Let them have uncommon abilities to discharge their duties according to the highest standards which they hold for themselves. Enable them according to thy Will to step forth with confidence and inner knowledge that their missions shall be victorious.

Overshadow their commanding officers and leadership up the chain of command even up to the White House with insight to make wise decisions in the ordering of their units and all troops. SHATTER!! all opposition to the winning of the victory over all terrorism and hatred directed against America and her allies! We ask that you will forge prayer bullets out of a portion of our devotions which will go to the heart of that opposition. We ask that those bullets will ferret out those former Baathists, Taliban, foreign fanatics, and all who are enemies of a Free Iraq and Afghanistan. Let that spiritual ordinance be directed at all wrong-headedness, delusion, betrayal, dishonesty, and intrigue which may be operational in and among the news and entertainment media. Cut free and deliver from any and all error those in the media who retain a thread of love and devotion to you. Father, we plead that you will send angels of Unity to our nation to purge us of the divisions and hatreds which are in danger of shredding our union. Father, help us to stay the course and fulfill your Will, Vision, and Purpose for this nation and civilization.

We give thought, Father, to the family of Mary M. Grant that father and those five children an extraordinary grace to maintain their harmony and strength while keeping the homefires burning for Mary. We ask this not only for Mary M's family, but for all families who are waiting the return of their loved one from deployment. We understand that there are tremendous stresses on families during wartime separations. Please, Father, mitigate those stresses as much as your great Law will allow, and preserve these families. We are so grateful for their sacrifice, and we ask that you will convey to them directly to their hearts our thanks.
